At Sárvár there is not only one, but two thermal springs! One bursts from 1200
meters deep with a temperature of 43 Celsius, while the other comes from 2000
meters and with 83 Celsius degrees. No one can be surprised that with such con-
ditions very soon a health spa’s building was ordered around the springs, which
resulted in a bath complex on 55 thousand square meters, with saunas, steam
and aroma cabins, slides and sports courts. It operates during the whole year.
The altogether 3400 square meter water surface with its beach pools, surf pools
and other specialized pools provide uninterrupted recreation to all age groups.

The water bursting up here is rich in cal-
cium, magnesium and hydrogen-car-
bonate, thus is perfect for the prevention
and the cure of musculoskeletal diseas-
es, surgery pre-treatment and postop-
erative rehabilitation. It is also ideal for
treating certain nervine, gynaecological
and dermatological complaints. Visitors
can enjoy the salt pool, the weight pool, the neck-shower medicinal pool and the
swimming pool, thus everything we need for a good bath on 2400 square meters.
Recreation is guaranteed on the three level medicinal bath complex.

Thermal Bath of Eger
The past of Eger’s baths goes back to the Turkish occupation, since they already
utilized the opportunities provided by the medicinal spas. The present Thermal Bath
was built in 1932 on 5 hectares, in a unique natural environment. The water flowing
into the bath originates from two springs: the one containing radon gas bursts up on
site and is 28-29 Celsius; the other one contains sulphur and calcium-hydrogen-car-
bonate, and is transported to the pools via a tube system. These waters are primarily
suitable for treating rheumatic conditions, and four out of the seven pools contain
such mineral mix. The establishment operates throughout the whole year, where 16
different adventure elements serve to fill the needs of their guests’ for healthy enter-
tainment.

Gyopárosi Medicinal, Park And Adventure Bath,
Orosháza
Gyopárosfürdő is located in the south-
eastern part of Hungary, next to Oros-
háza. The lake system consists of
three lakes, and it became famous
for its healing water in 1869. The
thermal water with high natural alkaline
hydrogen carbonate brings relief for
patients suffering from inflammation, the ailments of the locomotor system, joint
and gynaecological problems. It is also ideal for rehabilitation after accidents or
surgeries. A professional medical team provides tailored physio-, electro- and
balneotherapies. Three open-air, four indoor pools, bio-sauna, aroma-cabin,

Medicinal and Thermal Bath, Harkány
Our first writtenmemories on the healing effects of the Harkány medicinal water derive
from 1823. The following year the Batthyány family ordered a bath’s construction, in
an ancient park of 13,5 hectare. The medicinal water bursting here is suitable for
dermatological, digestive and locomotor conditions. The huge, modern bath complex
awaits its visitors with beach pools, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and medicinal pools.

Bükfürdő Medicinal And Adventure Centre, Bük
In the 1950-ies mineral oil fields were
searched close to the Austrian border, at
Bük, but instead of oil it was hot water
that burst onto surface. In 1962 the bath
was erected, and only three years later
its water was declared medicinal. This
is how it became a medicinal bath, and
then later a healing centre of national importance. Hotels, camp sites and different
kinds of catering units were built in its vicinity. Being Hungary’s second largest me-
dicinal bath, based on the number of nights spent at an accommodation providing
service Bük is the 4th most popular settlement is Hungary. Among the 26 pools of
the bath everyone will surely find the one that suits the most to them.
